The Anvil brochure was fun for 2010 because I got the opportunity to create a logo that was not only the focus of the print pieces, but after impressing teens and kids alike, is carrying through to other materials such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, and embroidered patches this summer.

With so much fantastic photography to work with, I helped the Anvil team take out as much copy and extra information from the previous brochures, and really boil it down to the necessary info so as to leave room for big spreads and maximum impact.

I also pushed for a different folding mechanism than we've previously used, so with the addition of one cut in the middle of the brochure, we were able to create 8-page booklet with no seams to distract from the pictures.

In addition, this allowed us to have a great big giant fold-out poster in the centre, with the idea being that campers and churches alike could hang it up for both summer planning and second-hand advertising.

The camp ended up setting aside 100 posters before the die-cut was added, creating a limited edition set of pristine collectors posters, which were an instant hit with volunteers.
